4-6-7-8 reflects an Olympic and world record that stood for almost three decades and the symbolic iconography of my life growing up in Watts. It is an artistic expression that exemplifies my journey from college “walk-on” to becoming a 2X collegiate champion. The journey cumulated to me becoming an Olympian, and finally an Olympic champion. The capstone of the journey was me setting a world record at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
HURDLE CLIQUE
The Hurdle Clique mark is represented in typeface and a bold mark. The mark itself is a double entendre playing off the mechanism to adjust the height of the barriers and the association of collective athletes that train specifically to race over obstacles. Throughout the years I have participated in hurdle training groups from grassroots to elite. The Hurdle Clique selectively recognizes these athletes. Depicting four barriers with a star in the center. Whether high or low the athlete is the star.
KEV
The KEVO mark is branded to highlight the accomplishment of being an Olympic Gold medalist with the letters V and O forming the 1992 Barcelona Olympic necklace and gold hardware. The mark is currently associated and utilized in interior labeling and tags.
WATTS SUPERHERO
The team provides the service of product development, marketing, and management. Our task is to develop and implement a product specific marketing and sales strategy by telling the brand story. We partner with agencies and valued stakeholders implementing a product specific life cycle. We work at the intersection of communication, product development, marketing and sales. Our mission and focus is to build brand awareness that supports the promotion from athletes to artists through lifestyle media communication.
